Collin Cook at Pope ,  10 TD catches as a soph, and 18-20 last year as a junior.

In addition to Cook, Pope returns Minchey QB and Elijah Robb at RB so if they have any O-line whatsoever they should be able to put up points.

And they have a transfer from California who is just as good as Cook and a sophomore WR who is 6'3. Pope is LOADED at the skill position

Key word is Skill.  O-Line is a bigger weakness than some figure.  Do they have anyone that got playing time other than blowouts?  If I recall correctly most of the backups were also seniors. Will Robb, who is underrated IMO, rush for 1000 yards? Minchey will still throw for a ton, but does accuracy suffer without that protection?  First test in 3 weeks.

Robb is really good and yes underrated.  I hear the O-Line has potential, just young and banged-up for much of the pre-season.

Baylor isn't until week 5 ;)

I presume you are including the local transfers to CPA in there as well.  Haven't seen anyone mention it, but Kenny Minchey was also once a Mustang before heading to JP2.

Wait…u mean they aren’t all homegrown?   All these years I thought they were completely homegrown. #Wharton #Bonds #Lindsay #Allsmiller #Brahaw #Blackwell..  “CPA Homegrown”. What a joke!  I guess if they say it over and over they think someone will believe them!

let's move on from throwing shade at CPA.  personally, I think it is a good thing that new players are coming in to any program particularly if they add diversity.  i'll speak for myself here but the more I am around people who are different (political, racial, socio-economic) the more I grow and I imagine that's true for lots of people.   you know they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

im a LA guy and I hope they are undefeated when we we play.  I hope our kids play hard and help each other up when they tackle them.  in any case, whatever our differences are won't get worked out on a message board.

    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
    • Lieutenant Flip flops is on a roll. #1 recruiter in Anderson Co, fo-sho.
    • Has there been any effort to contact college coaches other than Trevecca?
    • 5star put out and article about the QB competition for Clinton like they have 9 other schools. They listed a QB that was previously on Powell’s roster last year. He was the Frosh that could throw great wearing number 5. He was not mentioned as a transfer.  HC was quoted in getting two running back transfers one being from OR that has been mentioned on these boards as well as another from TKA.  I had heard about these and more transfers. It is impressive that Clinton is able to steal away from the recruiter at Powell.  I wonder if the issue with the principal will change that or open the gates even more.
