Stone Memorial is a nice rounded team! Their #3 guard is very nice!

Yes number 3 i believe is a jr and will be back next yr. Early in the year when york played them twice the capps kid ( freshman) was scoring bulk of points. A parent told me he started drawing double teams and the other guard has stepped up.  Well coached team with bright future.  I believe greenville should win it all. The gillespie kid is amazing

Greeneville ran SS. It was never close. Too many options to shoot the ball for Greeneville. Clearly the better team in the championship game. How many seniors they have? Is Fulton the clear favorite for next season? Their main guys were young. SS graduates a lot of kids. But they will reload like always. Stone was impressive. Out of the 8 3A teams that made it this year who returns the most kids?

Stone returns all but one. Whittenburg is a senior this year.

Greeneville loses 5 (4 started) seniors off this years team (Gillespie, Satterfield, Grove, Tillery, Wells).  They return Dabbs as a Starter and then have the first 3 off the bench in (Price, Williams, & Lester returning).  One to look out for is Current Freshman Mcgill (got some mop up time at state) and then Trey Thompson who will be a freshman this coming up year (Already 6'6 and avg. 28 points a game this past middle school season).

I think Fulton and Stone will be the teams to beat next year with what they have coming back

Fulton looked really good at times and so did Stone.  Congratulations to Greeneville. It is hard to win a championship and to go Back to back is incredible

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
