What's the latest on Andrea and going to NG or Crockett? She got an ETSU offer the other day. First of many I'm sure

I heard Crockett. The person told me said they are loaded with good freshman.

This could be the year you over take them King. They lost quite a bit. I'm sure they will still have a good team though but I like your chances.

If all our girls would play like Ella Benfield plays,  then we'd be unstoppable.  There's nobody and i mean nobody at that camp that could stop her.  She's an absolute stud.  I drove down yesterday and watched the varsity play Heritage and Daniel Boone.  We hung pretty good with heritage and pretty much had our way with Boone.  Boone had two starters who played for ridgeview middle last season.   Our JV played Alcoa.  We struggled with them.  They're a dang good team.

Alcoa has it rolling right now in girls basketball.  Very very good team in 2A.

That's what I told my daughters.  We struggled to get open and we are very quick lol.  Once we adjust to high school level speed,  we'll be very good

William Blount camp was a success for both varsity and jv.  JVs defeated jefferson county and lost by 2 to CAK.  Varsity won all their games.  Next week we will be at Eastview park gym in greenville.

Good start to the camp season King. I'm curious how Unaka is doing this summer . I was told Hampton went 4-0 at William Blount they will be very good as well this season.

I watched their live feeds on Facebook.  Their opponents didn't look very good at all lol

    • Lol did you even keep up with any scrimmages prior to this post…. Summit looks like the ugly stepchild compared to last years team.
    • Calm down, that is not coming from me…. Trust me. We Definitely have a chance to be top 5 however.
    • Bro not really though, we have 6’6,6’4 and 6’2… the others are quite small. Which doesn’t matter all that much especially in 5a as long as they can hold their block.
    • Going to be cautiously optimistic, I’d say 10-3. 3rd round exit. This team has potential to be at the top but offensive play calling will determine that IMO.
    • Central chargers ended up shutting out York Institute in the scrimmage 21-0 really do think well see a much improved team this season. And for the second straight Friday, the Central defense did not give up any points. McMinn Central's latest scrimmage performance may be the strongest indication yet that the Chargers could turn the corner this football season. Central dominated its final scrimmage of the preseason Friday, winning 21-0 at York Institute in Jamestown. It was a complete reversal from the last time the two teams scrimmaged a year ago, when York had come into Englewood and smothered the Chargers 27-7. And for the second straight Friday, the Central defense did not give up any points.   "First of all, you've got to give props to our defense, really, because after the way we played the other day at the five-way,” said Central head coach Matt Moody. “York is a real physical team. They're a team that came down when we scrimmaged last year and beat us (27-7), and they physically dominated us. “But our defense today, they stepped up and had several stops and several timely turnovers that they caused. And right now it's just good to watch them play. Everybody is understanding what we're trying to do and are getting to the football and playing aggressive, and I'm really pressed with our defensive effort today, again.” Central's offense consistently moved the ball as well, despite the absence due to sickness of a couple of key skill players. Isaiah Edmonds and Raymond McCarty got most of the touches at running back, with McCarty scoring Central's first touchdown from 20 yards out by making defenders miss after a catch in the flat.   Bay Harbison caught a 24-yard pass from quarterback Novice Cox for the second touchdown, and Cox ran the Chargers' final score in from eight yards out. Central's final preseason outing takes place Friday in the jamboree at Polk County. The Chargers play the 8 p.m. game against Sequoyah, a 20-minute quarter with a running clock.
