Mount Juliet hosts Ensworth tonight at MJ 7pm. 2 quarters varsity, the rest JV/freshman. Really interested in seeing how MJ can deal with all the talent and $ Ensworth brings to the table.

MJ beating Ensworth 7-3 in their jamboree, defense has been mostly dominant. Offense capitalized off of one of 2 Ensworth turnovers. Overall MJ more than holding their own against a good “private”school team.

That’s wrap, MJ pulls through with the “win”.  Ensworth strong on Defense but their QB was shaky, nor could they run at all on our D. MJ offense did just enough, but will need to improve.

Starters got 1 series. Got ball first and drove down and scored. 1st team defense went 3 and out. Backups and freshmen played the rest. DCA scored after recovering a punt that bounced into a Jacket player. They weren’t advancing returns so not sure exactly what return man was doing. Then DCA scored again on the freshman. DCA 14-7. Good work for backups.

I’d bet DCA in 4 quarters if I was a betting man. But cute take on making it seem like y’all handled them lol
