Week 2 of the gauntlet against the defending 5A state champions in Ky

South Warren defeated Highlands last night 49-14 at the University of Louisville’s stadium. Their soph QB threw for 190 yds and their defense scored 3 times.  They play a similar offense that Ravenwood plays, spread you out and can run and pass.  Commandos have to play a lot better than they did against Oakland, can’t turn it over 4 times, can’t have the penalties that plagued the offense.  Need to be a lot more physical at the line of scrimmage.  Next week it’s Beech, then Gallatin, then Ravenwood.  Confident that we will have a good week of practice and be ready to go Friday night.

That’s a tough start for sure…

I’m sure South Warren is wanting some revenge on the commandos from last season.
Hendersonville went up to Bowling Green and beat them in a fantastic ball game. South Warren went on to have a 14-1 season which included a state championship. The commandos made it to the semifinals in TN.

Both teams lost ALOT from last season. Hendersonville is breaking in (I heard 17 or 18 new starters) and South Warren lost most of their production with the exception of TN commit, Christian Conyer.

I believe that the coaches will have this team playing good football later in the season but they are fighting a ton of inexperience right now. Doesn’t bode well with the front half of the schedule.

Hendersonville will have to clean up the turnovers and sure up missed tackle issues if they want to have a chance.

Big win for the Commandos! South warren had a good team. A lot of size.

went down 0-10

then they started battling!

Commandos battled and got 14 big points leading up to halftime. Huge pass from baker and then Mack came to play!

South warren struck quick in the second half to retake the lead and then big plays from Baker and Mack for HHS. Mack was lookin to take ankles with hard running! Needed this one. Now it’s on to beech

gonna be a HUGE TV game next week but commandos showed the fight

HOW MUCH IS CORN THIS WEEK? A buck an eeeeeearrrr!
