I'm puzzled by Powell discussion.  Their two wins so far (neither one dominant) were against teams who went 7-4 and 7-5 last year against relatively weak schedules. I'm worried about em really, because they were a hoot to watch last year.

Who has Clinton beaten and what are their records?

That would be 1-11 combined.

I will take Powell by 20+.  The Clinton team is coming unraveled.  After the OR game on the way back to their locker room/busses it was ugly.  Players cussing players, coaches cussing coaches, coaches and players arguing.  Trust me it was loud and ugly scene on display.  Then last week,  fighting and unsportsmanlike calls there were several ejections and suspensions in the game against poor ole Cherokee High.

YOur worried about GADDY being a troll and then coming out here spouting things like this as fact?  And only back off on it after someone challenges it?

They certainly aren't 100%. Potts isn't even back to full strength yet, which limits what they can do offensively. Powell just isn't playing with a full deck yet. And maybe they won't this season, especially if they can't get (and stay) healthy. I'm just hoping they can stay healthy enough to make a run down the stretch.

you are the only troll on this thread.

Fact: Clinton player was ejected

Fact: Clinton players and coaches melt down publicly after OR game. I was there troll, I saw it and heard it.

Their season rest on Potts staying healthy. And if they are limiting his abilities by being able to run/scramble and extend plays in fear of him getting hit it will be a short season.

Only West may be able to beat them they’re still two TDs better then anyone else in the region

Might as well be 0-12 since AE beat another winless team in Scott. They played OR close so I wouldn’t look past them if I’m Powell but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s similar to last years game.

Clinton couldn't do much of anything offensively in this one last year. I think Powell wins, but the Dragons will score some points.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
