I'm surprised at the poor D both teams had to be honest.  Looked like  modern offense defended by a 1950 defense.

I know Coach Price is CCHS DC, but, he needs to re think that, he's an offensive mind.

Well if it lessor of the two evils on defense I would say CCHS was less. Not sure Clinton even has a defense, just being real because I expected so much from the dragon's. It's disappointing but its been going on for years. I thought this might be the year.

Same ole Clinton.Only difference is a few new nice pieces but worse coaching.

Wow! did you catch that pregame speech on Packervision?  R.E.S.P.E.C.T  gotta earn it.  Even harder to keep it.  once you're on top its even harder to stay there. :thumb:

Clinton shouldn't hang their heads too much after that one. They still have a legitimate shot at the playoffs, assuming they take care of business against Lenoir City. It'll come down to the Karns game. I could see 100 combined points in that one. If Clinton were to beat Karns, we could definitely end up with a 3-way tie for those last two playoff spots in region 3. In that scenario, with overall wins being that first tiebreaker, I think the Cougars would be the odd man out (Clinton would be #3 and Karns #4).

A lot can happen between now and then, but let the speculating begin!

Head to head win is the first tie breaker

It is, but that goes out the window in a 3-team tie where the head-to-head between each team is 1-1. Overall wins becomes the next tiebreaker, which would bump CC out in this scenario. Then it would revert back to head-to-head, which would put Clinton at #3 and Karns at #4.

It looks like Coach X needs to work on his defense. The part that is frustrating to me is Clinton's defense looked better last year and has regressed this year. The offense is fun to watch, but I love to watch a stingy defense.

I noticed our big offensive lineman #68 didn't play last night. I hope it isn't anything serious.

The Price twins,  One is OC, the other is DC.  Head coach is OC, he's in the press box.  Brother Matt is DC, he's on the sideline.

That was a good game last night. I did figure that Clinton would win that game but Campbell County was in the zone big time with that quarterback and his receivers. Clinton has nothing to hang their head down about because McKamey left that program in a mess.

The offense is good, but the defense is still a mess.  Yikes.  That game truly was whoever has it last wins.  Zero defense either team.  It was a thriller of a game to watch though.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
