Think a lot of it was due to holding, they never called it on either side. That being said he is a really good back. 7 and 55 were both studs. Think this game will help us down the road, shame you guys have the brick wall waiting on you.

Watched replay on GP you tube channel and GP honestly whipped Hampton on the line. That little scat back had 195 yards rushing according to local paper. Hampton is a good team and fought hard but GP was definitely the better team.

Yeah we were outmanned on the line, skill players were bigger also. GP is about the most balanced team you will ever see and they are good at both. Hats off .  We had them in bad situation many times but they were able to make a play nearly every time, if we had been able to get 2 or 3 stops on the 3rd and longs, who knows. Fake punt was a huge play as well.

Both teams were impressive. GP looks like an Alcoa clone although obviously not to that level but they were very good. And Hampton has speed this year. That #12 is going to be a stud. He can fly. He fit in with those kids from GP. Tons of athletes all over the place. I don't think they will be challenged by anyone in Region 2.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
