And yet you started this thread about the EN revenge tour (most of those revenge teams don’t have a winning record) and taking the state championship title in October.. Come back and talk when we’ve BOTH made it to the big game. Until then, it’s all cheap talk and what ifs and you don’t have the knowledge or experience to play the game. :thumb:

Well said! A lot of football left for everyone!

3 of Alcoa tds came from messed up punts and got the ball inside EN  30 each time. When Alcoa had to drive the field to score they couldn’t. Go back and watch the whole game and not some 5 min highlight reel y’all posted. Take away those 3 messed up punts and the fumble and the game is different. But I didn’t get on here to go back and forth with y’all about 2021. This a whole new season and y’all still talking about last year. I got on here to brag on how good EN is looking this season. I see all the back and forth childish stuff y’all do on these message boards and I’m not with that. With that being said see y’all Dec 2

I think is about 50-2 on the board with alcoa fans. They beat their Chest every year talking about this and that. Well the captain of the ship has sailed into the sunset.

East Nashville is a pretty good team, and they are well coached. Im sure they respect Alcoa , Covington , and whoever lines up across from them. The whole revenge tour is from the media . Their coach has been preaching one game at a time if you read the newspaper articles , The supporters on here got yall riled up.

    • That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.
    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
