Oakland lost to a private school. They can still easily cruise through the bracket against public schools.

Last year, Oakland beat Lipscomb Academy, who dominated the rest of DII-AA. This year, a team that isn't close to beating Lipscomb Academy beat Oakland 35-14. While Oakland will still certainly have a say who wins 6A, they are not invincible.

Definitely not invincible (no one is), but they do seem to be on another level than the other schools in 6A. Their defense is not quite as good as it was the last 2 years or last several years for that matter. That seems to be the biggest difference even more so than losing James, Patterson, Horton, etc. Still the favorites to win 6A IMO

blazer, Sevier Co. will finish 2nd with a win over Cocke Co. and a loss by Central to West. (both probable) Halls at Heritage for 4th place.

correct. if it’s all chalk then central will have to travel to MO West in round one. Sevier co will host Tennessee. West will host David Crockett. Boone will host halls or heritage. man I’d love to have that sevier county game back.

Like I said earlier, if things pan out, region 2 could drop 3 of the 4 first round games.

Powell should cruise thru their side of the bracket. Not sure that anybody in Region 4 is any good. One would think McMinn but are they really contenders? The potential DB/West matchup could be interesting. Both seem to have very dominant defenses but have either really played anybody? Outside of Alcoa of course. If they had internet in Upper East Tn we might could have better idea as to how good DB actually is.

The 6A bracket matters not unless you are named Oakland or Maryville.

West has played and beaten Bearden, Farragut, Alcoa and Murville.  I would say West has more than "really played anybody".
