I have just came down from the mountain where the AP Gods reside.  I have brought forth their top ten.  I have in my hands the tablet in which it is written.  No, it's not a Stone tablet. I think it's an Apple.

Behold Thy Pole

Gordonsville and Clay County should be in the top 6-7 teams. Gordonsville annihilated Coalfield and Coalfield is still ranked. Come on voters…

I agree. Pretty ridiculous. One of Gville loses is to a 3A team who is 6-1 and ranked in the AP top 10. The other loss however was a bad loss but Gville has gotten back healthy since week 1 & 2 and have played much better football since then. But, AP poll doesn’t really mean much other than giving us something to talk about. I am looking forward to seeing the Gville and Clay Co game in a few weeks! Should be a good one up in Celina

I hope I’m wrong but I think the winner of that game represents the east this season.

    • Wouldn't the easiest move be to move McCall up to HS Principal and have Gulley take over as MS Principal?
    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
    • Freedom Prep has discontinued their football program. These are the teams that were on their schedule in case you are looking for a game:
