Here we go.. hungry Lions gonna feast on Rebel meat. But I will admit OC has a great band, & some of their fans ROCK, but this years football team can’t hang with Dresden. But no biggie for this big 4A group, our lil 1A is like a tiny dog yapping around their ankles. HoHum. But for us it is a good game to tune-up & prepare for playoffs. GO LIONS. Score? 42-14 Lions.

I will admit to getting the warm fuzzies within me when I hear/see the Rebel mascot, because that is my HS alma mater’s mascot back in Memphis.. which was changed years ago to something else. That’s ok..but I do often pull for Rebel-mascoted teams if they aren’t playing our Lions.  I even got to work for several years when first married in Oxford, MS— Ole Miss Rebels. So I’m not anti-Rebels, just that I’m pro-Lions & pro-Vols.. otherwise it’s ok to whoooop out them Rebel yells!

I love watching my local team play.  Union city is an exciting team to follow.  Wish my kids chose there but their friends went to obion,   Lake Co.   S fulton, westview (minus a few fans),  Dresden (psycho city)  this has been a good year to be a fan.  I can see three 2a schools getting to state,  1a i can see four with a lucky bounce here and there.       Too bad there isn't a junior college that plays football close.  Id love to recruit this area.  I went to Bethel and it costs too much for most kids.  Dburg state would be perfect.

Post Fall break & the first cold snap, lots of DHS kids out sick. Maybe they turn it into a Jordan flu game? They need it to get ready for bigger teams in the playoffs.

Obion always scares me a little. Just because of the number of players they have, they typically are a hardnosed bunch of kids. I think Dresden wins handedly, just hoping for an injury free game.

Ive seen obion look unstoppable for a few drives, then look like they couldn't tie their shoes for a few drives.  Very inconsistent, but still can be scary if they put it together for a game.   After last year i am guessing dresden won't be surprised.

We held them to 116 yards.  Light had 36.  If he gets going, he is a big, strong back with speed.  I don't see Dresden having a problem in this game.

But they played Milan pretty well.
