The Ram Train continues to roll. This team is on a mission to be at Finley come December. Smith County might be a thorn in Trousdales side the next couple of years but Fayetteville is gonna be the beast in the East. I can’t see them doing it but it’s a possibility that Fayetteville could end up in same region with Smith and TC. That would create a very hard region to get out of. Most likely Fayetteville will end up going more east in region 3. I’m just keeping it real

The real possibility is for that TC, Smith, Westmoreland region to be region 3 and region 4 be Fayetteville, Forrest, Cannon, etc,...But that is a long shot

To be a realistic TC fan just making the playoffs will be the goal. TC HAS 3-4 years before we can talk about competing. Gold ball. Am I in the wrong to feel this way?

I wouldn't say you are wrong to feel that way, keeping the playoff streak alive is very important to most TC folks, but the most important thing for the program is sustainable growth, the team got better this year from week 1 to week 12. I just hope we are able to utilize what we do have which isn't much. We all know the next heavy load of talent is coming in 2-3 years and at that point the window will be open for probably 5-8 years.  Blake has his work cut out for him, will be a huge offseason for the jackets.

Yeah. He needs to beat the bushes in the hallways of TCHS and send the feelers out to schools in surrounding counties to get some more players. And then get the S&C program cranked up and hold a real spring practice.  He said in his post game interview that he had already talked to some kids about joining/rejoining the team. Didn’t mention any names except for EJ Douglas who I guess was injured basically the whole season?

Boy did I call that!

I had to do some research, but I finally have you nailed down.  Was the Radio Assistant for TC and seen the writing on the wall.  Left, but stated "he hopes to be back one day."  I'm assuming one day will be when the Jacket's are good again?  Fair Weather Radio Fella is what I should call you!  JohnCena3:16 was correct about you.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
