WestHigh4Life Posted November 7, 2022 Report Share Posted November 7, 2022 As much as i love all the praise for the Rebels...Powell is still the defending champs not to mention 5A is pretty stacked with Munford, Nolensville, Page and Henry County all on the other side with awesome teams. They have a pretty good shot at winning the 5A title, although the other side of the bracket has some really stout teams as well. Outside of them, who else you got? Powell is good, Alcoa is good, Maryville is down but still decent. I’d still say the best football in TN is generally around the midstate, namely Oakland and the privates. But overall it’s been a great year for West, and probably the best year ever for 5A in terms depth and the number of quality teams (Powell included). Both Powell and West have some work to do before they can meet again. Not an easy road for either of them to get to the semis. again.
