It was a good camp with quality teams. I enjoy summer ball. Lots of good matchups. Keep us up to date and good luck Saturday. I was looking at schedule a while ago and we only have 4 home games left in regular season. Hard to believe. I know you are very proud of your girls. I am proud of ours and it is a blessing to get to watch these teams play.

We all know rankings are meaningless, but who is on the committee? Some of these teams have no business in the top 10 of their class.

They obviously don’t look at the schedules of who they played.

Yea I agree! And yea it’s almost crunch time. Yea I am super proud of our program & the talent we have coming we should be in good hands. I know y’all are proud as well & good luck on a strong push of bringing that gold ball back to West Tn

Winning Gold Balls are not that easy. Very thankful for my team to win them and very thankful for West TN teams to win them. GIbson County has had some tough losses in years that I thought we should win the Gold and we have had some Gold Ball years. Overall it is a blessing to get to state as a rule but is very hurtful to lose wherever especially when you have had a great program.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
