HEY HEY WHATCHA SAY?? Well, no guessing about it. This well water in these parts of Weakley County is tasting mighty fine.. makes some right nice kool-aid too! .. I've been silent awhile (the crowd goes ballistic!).. For a bit I was actually living in KY...  then that morphed into being 99% sure family & I headed to Texas, moving down near Dallas.. so everything was getting life set-up & focused on making the big move.. and.. it all fell-through at the last second. Lord does that alot, to keep me/ us on my toes. And I finally got my eyes fixed up enough to see better while using this smartphone.. so now I get to stick around these parts. luv Luv LUUUUV IT TOO! There ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place, so this must be the place!
As for our Lions, & the speculation of what we got..  well, all this spring & summer our mighty black & gold WERE BEASTS.... then in full-pad & full-team scrimmages, incl'd tonight's Jamboree in Paris.. dude, Lions looking good, just like they should! Whooping tails & taking names! .. But.. no worries.. dont even get too worked up about all this, nobody needs to look for our Lions to do much, right? It was all a fluke. All our wins & getting the best of everyone, who all these teams were probably going to beat us most prognosticators forecasted .. all this winning the Lions did was a freak of pre-season craziness. Don't mean a thang, do it? Just us looney, insane fans are jabbering our jaws, Hoping for that which is hopeless, right?
So.. never you all mind. Dresden football ain't much this year.. nothing to see here.. move along. Move along everyone. LIONS??? who dat?

heheheee.

True fan right there! Hope you can make to as many home and away games as possible Hevy! I enjoy your in-depth analysis and overall love for TN high school football!! Keep giving us updates that’s what the T is for, Good luck to the Lions of Dresden!

I have UC at the top followed by Dresden and LC.LC has 26 players so depth and injuries could play a key.Last night, the heat was brutal.Dyer Co won 20 to 8.LC had 8 to 7 lead after first half Then 2nd half,Dyer Co was facing a 4th and 7 and QB rolled out and hit receiver right at goal line to take 13 to 8 lead. Then with about 6 min left,LC had 2nd down and low snap on the ground got by LC QB  and Dyer Co lineman picked it up and ran about 35 yards to about 7 yard line.Dyer Co scored couple plays later.Saw some good things.Saw a few things that need work.Think LC QB needs to use his speed more at times when he's being rushed. Can be an asset. And need to get play calls in and not get delay of game penalties.Had about 5 low snaps. But overall, not bad against a team with 67 players and brutal heat.Livingston fro Dyer Co is a load

Think UC will beat them.Had not been for bad snap LC could win.Key play was them scoring on 4th and 7 on pass. That doesn't happen,LC probably wins.Seems to be that Dyer Co season will ride on Livingston.Didnt see much from anyone else.If he goes down, think they will struggle against teams they playing.

Y'all will not have any problem handling dyersburg county in my opinion from our scrimmage last night. We should have won the game. However, mental mistakes, brutal heat as bigster said caused us to lose focus. Our line matched up well with them man to man. We had a couple of qb sacks. Dyersburg county didn't look very impressive overall but had some flashes of brilliance especially Livingston. Stop him and UC wins by 3 or 4 tds easily.

Probably will. But I also see maybe suffer a knee injury as big as he is and he moves really well.

Why would you say something like that, I wouldn’t wish or say anything about a kid getting a injury. Shivers has offers from Georgia, TN, Auburn, Michigan & several other big schools! Hoping he has a injury free season!

Dresden beat Camden 28 to 0 in there scrimmage. Camden had good numbers on the team but looked to be young.... no offense to Camden but not a real test for Dresden. We are still learning the offensive blocking scheme up front pretty sure we are not nearly half as good as we could be. Still missing one of our best receivers/olb will be back Thursday against westview but only on defense ( broke wrist). Definitely give the edge to UC in the region right now.

I have never seen the kid play but excited to see him when Humboldt comes to Dresden. Not very often you get to see a kid with that talent play. I'm putting Humboldt as my sleeper team to make the playoffs in the region.

He is a big athletic kid has started center on the basketball team since 9th grade, plays both ways & also kick the ball off & 90% of time it’s a touchback. Shivers is just a junior this year & only 15 years old so he still has a lot of potential & very quick on his feet to weigh almost 340 pounds! Les the basketball to state tournament last year averaging 13pts & 12 rebounds, hopefully he will stay focus with all the big time offers that he has!

    • Fortuitously encountering Clint amidst the ambience of Goodyear this morning sparked an impromptu yet intellectually stimulating conversation, wherein we engaged in a rigorous assessment of prospective candidates for the esteemed role of head football coach. Our discourse, characterized by its spontaneity and depth, led to the formulation of astute observations and discerning judgments regarding the suitability of various individuals for this pivotal position. Allow me to elucidate the fruits of our collaborative contemplation: This commentary endeavors to offer a discerning articulation of my subjective viewpoint, emphasizing a conscientious commitment to maintaining impartiality and refraining from any semblance of derogation directed towards individuals.  Those who possess meritorious qualifications for the esteemed head coaching role, delineated without hierarchical precedence, include: Rennard Woodmore, an esteemed alumnus of the Yellow Jackets, presents a magnificent pedigree, having held prominent positions in head coaching capacities across various regions. His pivotal role as a coordinator for teams contending for state championships further enhances his stature in the realm of football leadership. Kyle Gregory, erstwhile adorned in the resplendent gold insignia, though lacking direct head coaching experience, brings to the fore his invaluable insights garnered as a coordinator for esteemed teams, showcasing an acute understanding of the requisites for triumph whilst attired in the esteemed purple and gold regalia. Steven Jackson, whose contributions transcended mere clipboard duties under the tutelage of Kevin Creasy, emerges as an exceptional candidate for Trousdale County. His prior tenure and triumphs as an assistant coach underscore his suitability for the role. The sole drawback lies in his lack of affiliation with Trousdale County as an alumnus. Brandon Eden's extensive tenure within the chronicles of Trousdale County football, spanning a significant portion of its State Championships, coupled with his successful stints as a coordinator across diverse locales, underscores his candidacy despite a dearth of direct head coaching experience at the high school level. Davy Cothron, while beset by a modest playing career, has emerged as a luminary in offensive strategy, drawing parallels to the transformative appointment of Barker in 2015, thereby warranting consideration for his proven acumen in this realm. Joshua Hackett, notwithstanding his non-alumnus status, has left an indelible imprint across Middle Tennessee, distinguished by his adept curation of formidable defensive units as a coordinator at Watertown, albeit without direct head coaching experience. Kevin Creasy, the epitome of coaching prowess, merits an offer irrespective of his current inclinations, his unparalleled capacity to secure victories transcending geographical and institutional bounds, potentially extending to a role as Director of Schools should it align with his aspirations. Conversely, individuals who have not demonstrably earned the mantle of head coaching, enumerated without sequential precedence, encompass: Brad Waggoner David Barker Paul Pitts Jeremy Pruitt Clint Satterfield Robbie Atwood Wesley Satterfield Ben Johnson BJ West Whom do you all deem most fitting to assume the mantle of the next coach, and what rationale informs your choice? Conversely, whom do you perceive as ill-suited for the role, and what underpins your reasoning for their exclusion?
