TSSAA is already on the radar. KCS athletic director is also looking into what is going on especially regarding to how many out of zone freshman are enrolling in to BHS to play football. Plus BHS is an already over crowded school. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and right now BHS is more squeaky than Powell, Fulton, Central, or probably any other school ever in the area.

Nah, Bearden just made the right hire. Jones coaches the Tennessee vs. Kentucky middle school game, so a lot of players get to meet him and like him, and with Chaz His brother is the RB coach, or was he quite too focus more on 7v7. He coached a lot of Bearden players over the years, so they all came to play with him, like Tory, Key, Chaz, and the rest, but Coach Jones is loved by a lot of people. And with Jah, he just came because he was zoned for it. There's nothing wrong with that, but people make it out to be.

Bearden just hired the central defensive backs coach, so from what I’ve heard, he’s bringing over central’s entire secondary. Lol

I don't have a dog in this fight. Just know some people that are unhappy with what is going on at BHS. What l am hearing is from Bearden people that don't support HBC methods. lts hard enough for a team to beat its opponents when your own people aren' t behind how you are trying to win. One of the keys in this is the HVA connection with BHS.

HVA Connection?  I don't understand.

This is a perfect encapsulation.  How is this legal again?

And that's definitely not legal.  And maybe not advisable based on some of their scores last year....

The kid from Gallitan just moved to Knoxville, but his family still goes to Gallitan. I wonder how one explains to Tssaa the need for one kid to make the move while another previously in-house sibling didn’t?

if that's true, its pretty clearly against tssaa rules.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
