They had 15 yard penalty but was after UC touchdown and was assessed afterwards.Yes Covington will be good and go far this year. Well, to be precise, Covington got possession first and promptly got a holding penalty, followed by an illegal motion penalty. The two infractions killed their drive and they punted. UC ran three plays and punted. Covington then drove the ball to the 2 yard line, then had consecutive penalties for illegal shift followed on the next play by a chop block. That moved the ball back to about the 15 yard line where after a couple of plays that UC shut down, the drive ended as Covington failed to complete a pass to the end zone on fourth and 15. The Chargers held UC and that ended the first quarter with no score. In the second quarter, UC got a receiver behind the Covington D and completed a pass that went 75 yards for the score. Covington got an Unsportsmanlike Penalty on the TD, so took the ball at their own 15, rather that the 30. On the first or second play, Covington lost a fumble around their own 15, and UC ran 3 plays and kicked a field goal. Covington had one last possession that ended with another fumble lost. UC took a knee twice to run out the clock. So, Covington played poorly, with 2 fumbles lost and 5 penalties in only 2 quarters.
