Science Hilltoppers 0-1 Visit The 0-1 AC Mavs

Its hard to ser the mavs struggle on offence. I have seen the defense struggle ups and downs over years. But to see both struggle its hard. Moog is out someone has to step up. Hall needs to find the end done. Its will still be a fun year for the Mav fans because they have talent.

AC forces a 16 yard point and gets it at the SH 37.

Holding, puts them in 1st and 20 at the 47.

 

Wind has picked up a lot.

QB for AC overthrows his receiver or the wind got it to sail.

They connect on 3rd down and go for it on 4th and 10. Pass hits the receiver in the hands but be drops it in the end zone.

Mavs convert on 3rd down with a really nice scramble, throw and catch. Next play was a REALLY nice throw and catch in good coverage to the pylon.

AC defensive formation is selling out to stop the run and it's generally been effective.  But if they break that first level,  they're gone. SH does just that and breaks off a 52 yd run. Extra point no good.

Waylon LaRue takes it 60 yards and is caught from behind at the SH 10. 

Some AC players are starting to get cramps. 

Light rain and wind. Temp has dropped several degrees.

Not really pleased where the Science Hill program is as a Old former Topper, but it was a very good win tonight for the Hill on the road in one of the toughest environments in the state.

Sorry Noonesfool.  I got to talking and I had put my phone away during the brief rain.  SH isn't a bad team,  they've got some players.  AC had thier chances to win.  

The qb for SH had a really nice throw to the outside on a roll out to his right. It was as pretty of an executed play as I've seen and it kept the drive alive for a score.  The defense had really good coverage on that play.  

Overall both teams have some clean up to do.  AC may go 5-5 this year.

Most likely SH ends up 8-2. Thats a good year for the Toppers. Or any team for that matter.
