(Still need 4 other people to sell to attached that block to the school property) All the other directly behind the school is in Individuals name. That area is going for a pretty penny right now I wish Knox County/Knoxville would do this instead just building more high schools.. just watering down the talent even more. But its also very understandable, Knoxville is very segregated.

And this "Knoxville is segregated" bit doesnt make much sense. Central and West, both have won recent state championships, are relatively diverse. oridgecat
West High is extremely diverse. They have the poorest kids in town up to the richest kids in town as far as the income demographic goes, but what really makes it diverse is the fact there there are 58 different countries represented in this years' student body. Somehow they make it all work very well.

It's a real thing, not just words on a T-shirt. It's the classic everybody pulling in the same direction kind of thing in both academics and athletics. Another thing there is that nearly half of the 1400 plus students participate in at least one sport. That's a high number for a high school.

Segregation means every community feeling like they need to have have their own schools, Karns , powell, halls, all within 15 minutes of Emory Road, Fulton and Central are opposite ends of Broadway (less than 15 min) West and Bearden are both basically Kingston Pike, Farragut does their own thing.... do you see the picture im painting?
