Marion Co vs Sequatchie Co (Starkey&Hutch vs Sasquatch)

Marion has more speed and should win. Only thing concerning to me is when a team is physical with them they seem to struggle. I didn’t see Dade game but was told they flat out hit Marion all night and should have won if not some huge breaks going Marion’s way. Can Sequatchie be more physical than Marion? That is likely the biggest question. Marion’s offense needs to get going as well. Questionable playcalling at times causing O to sputter at times. I’m just keeping it real.

Marion 28

Sequatchie 14

Y’all boys gonna be surprised. Is this MC 1st true test this year? Not talking about close score games either. I think this is the toughest opponent MC will play until 3rd round.

Marion has won two tight games already. They seem to be learning to win instead of lose like last year. I’m just keeping it real

Marion is a loaded team, but my only concern is sequatchie's offensive and defensive line, they are a physical group of kids and will hit these kids in the mouth if they let them.  I still think marion wins, but if they come thinking it's an easy game, they are going to be in for a surprise.

Starts up front. Skill or not.

I laugh at some of stuff being said. Marion does have some size, some speed and some talent, but all of that hasn't gelled yet for whatever reason. Maybe the tough Fayetteville game will be the spark. Who knows. Seq will be a very tough opponent and those in the know will know what to expect. One thing different this season when you punch Marion in the mouth you're gonna get punched back twice. Sequatchie will be a tough game but people expecting them to come into Jasper and have their way may be in for a surprise.  2 good ball teams. Let's see how thy shake out.

1st true thing said on this post. They do have some athletic kids but all this loaded with talent is far from the truth. I think maybe this heard them time to time bc that’s all they hear. I do think mc wins in a close game but would not be surprised if Dunlap win either

One thing that has been done in the off season was getting the kids more physical.

Friend you are loaded don’t kid your self. You have a 3 cats in the backfield that could play for about anyone 1a-3a. I think you got 1 Kid that could play at any level tbh. Dude can motor.

I am so excited to watch these kiddos tomorrow night. I expect a pretty good effort from Sequatchie but Marion will win this game. These kiddos and coaches are so much more prepared it seems this season.  The work they put in can not be missed this year. I think Sequatchie will give us a good game for the first half but then we will get some more points later in the game and still win the game this week. My man T had a great game last week. The sky is the limit for him and these other kiddos. I love watching our team every week. They are improving every single week. Tomorrow is the next win for us on the season. As always it is a great day to be a Warrior!

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
