2A Mr. Football

This isn't a Mr Football, BUT for lifetime achievement and just bringing it every game for 4 years I'd nominate Liam Bell from Forrest. Great kid stuck with a head coach in over his head. Heroic effort over 4 years- I'm not joking.

It feels like just our general area that deserving athletes don't get the recognition they deserve.

Hard to come up with top 5 for 2A. Pickett, Lovvorn, Willoughby, Kines from Region 4 are all good players but not getting statewide buzz. I can't name any of the top players from Regions 1,2, 7, or 8.  Thomas and Eubanks from R6. Stanley from R5. Mt. Pleasant or Loretto QB or a Groves.

You'll get nothing but ridicule mentioning a Forrest player on this thread. Bell will finish his senior season and join the ranks of McCoy, McCown, Follis, Whittaker, and Davis as another underused and misplayed Forrest senior in this regime.

You was talking about region 6, another name is Stone Wallace the Riverside qb. He has thrown for about 1300 and rushed for another 700

I remember him as a lanky sophomore safety two years ago. Looking at the rosters that game and all the promising sophomores I thought these two teams have a bright future. Boy, was I wrong.

Loretto QB could very well have been considered if he hadn’t gotten injured and the backup has not been able to play long enough to put up enough numbers.
