  • howdoitknow changed the title to Liberty Creek at East Nashville - Quarterfinals

27-13 , EN won the first contest, but it was a close game throughout. LC is an improving team who plays discipline ball, grinds out first downs, doesn't typically give up the big play and was successful last time keeping the ball for long sustained drives. Penalties helped LC keep this game close so EN must play clean and eliminate the self-inflicted mistakes in order to advance to the semis. EN, collectively has better players, but this game should be a 4-quarter battle.

East gets the win but not by a lot. Liberty has had a good year but this will be the only year it lasts. Big senior class leaving and and their open zone is now over. And I believe the price of housing in zone is averaging $500,000. Rager (QB) has had a phenomenal year and should have been a Mr. Football finalist. LC would not be where they are without him. I believe their starting QB for next year is a kid only on his second year of football ever.

Liberty Wolves will still not be able to win vs East Eagles in this game much less mercy rule them. It does not matter how good Rager is for Liberty Wolves. It will not happen. I guarantee it. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
