Round 3- Alcoa @ GP

There is no doubt that Region 1 3A is the weakest in the state, that is why GP asked to be moved up there, afraid of competition.  Same reason they schedule every terrible team they can find.  Looks like they are not the only school in the county running from competition big brother down the mountain did the same thing for the same reason.

This has probably been hashed out time and time again but why is region 1 at all levels except for teams that occasionally have decent playoff performances so weak? Is it the counties the school systems the coaches the kids what hurts it so much in football?

I grew up in upper east tennessee and in my opinion schools have stop taking football seriously.  The fans still take it seriously and the coaches and teams do during the season.  But there seems to be little accountablility to players in the offseason and coaches don;t seem to be willing to change there offenses and defenses to best fit there players. This is not the case for all of the teams but most it seems

Also, some coaches and schools in this like GP and Bearden would rather spend all of their time trying to recruit better players instead of making the ones that are already there better, you know the ones that grew up cheering for those teams and the ones that are willing to play all out for the school.  Not the ones there just for the NIL deals.  But hey the GP coach has a really strong selfie game, not much in the area of character and integrity, but his twitter and selfie game are really good.

Looks like the running back from GP has transferred to Cosby for this upcoming season. Talk about a demotion. Guess his dad will be able to control anything he wants there. A team as bad as Cosby will do anything to win I'm sure

He's been there since right after the last game, they actually live very close to the school from what I'm told. Dad posted on the Facebooks that he wasn't a fan of the GP coach whatsoever and considered him to be a snake in the grass...
