Congrats to both teams for still being able to compete this late in the playoffs. It would seem as if Dresden has the best team that they have had in a while. Both teams are still playing in November for a reason. McKenzie is much improved (as I’m sure the lions are) since the last meeting. Should be an awesome night in which I hope sportsmanship prevails, for players, fans, and coaches alike,  no matter what the scoreboard displays. My belief is that the Rebels will eliminate some of their mistakes and play more disciplined than in previous weeks. If they do- it’ll be one heck of a game! Go Big Red!

Very well said

Had to put $ on the rebels.  Letsgobrandon picked Dresden.  Sure bet he is wrong.  Shaved his arse and cut too close and got brain damage    This trolling with no dog in the fight is fun!  I should get a NIL contract.  Ysoangry   I can wear a shirt with your picture!

It was one night and I'm pretty sure you roofied me. That doesn't count.

Does McKenzie have a legit chance in this game or is Dresden just too much?

Yes we have a legit chance.  In the first game, we dropped two give me TD's, possibly a 3rd, and our starting TE/LB and RB/LB did not play.  I am not saying those factors would have made a difference, but it sure did not help.  Dresden is a good football team.  I take nothing away from them.  They have earned it.  But with that being said, so have we.  The job Comer has did with preparing our team for this exact moment is amazing.  Honestly, probably the best coaching job I have seen him do his entire tenure at McKenzie.  Like I said in the Moore Co post last week, our guys will be prepared, and will play to the best of their ability.  If when the dust settles, I will tip my hat to Dresden if that is the case, or I will book a hotel room.  Either way, this game is going to be epic!  Gates open at 5:30.

Go Rebels!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
