After reflecting on this game it has been hard for me to put into words how I feel. It was personal for me as I have a Senior on the team #15 Will Kibbler. He missed practice Wednesday because of how sick he was and in all reality had no business playing Friday night because he was still sick. But there was no way you were going to keep that kid from playing.I cannot express how proud I am of him and his teammates. They will leave a legacy of hard work and determination behind them.

Great season and great team. I've enjoyed seeing the growth from this group over the years. If a team is going to get put out, it's better to get put out by the defending state champs in the semis. Still a great season to make final 4.

From a completely non biased spectator that McKenzie deep ball just now was a completion. He had both hands securely around the ball the entire time.

It's meaningless now but if it's the same play Michael Odom was talking about on Twitter he said it was incomplete. Said a cameraman got a pic and the ball hit the ground. Idk

I was a good 50 yards away so I didn’t have the greatest view. Kid laid out and got ball firmly between both hands. Looked like he pulled it into his body and fell. Appeared he had control but don’t know what happened after he hit the ground. Could have come loose.

That last game is tough that’s for sure not just for players but for us parents as well.  Dresden had a fantastic season!  A whole lot of memories made in sports!

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
