I watched this guy in week zero and in the State Championship. I think that he is one of the three best quartebacks I have seen all year long(the other two being Garmany from Rhea Co. and Edminston form Lincoln Co.) His ability to escape the rush was amazing. Good luck to him and I hope someone takes a chance on him to play QB at the next level, they will be glad they did.

Will is exceptional, I hope he will continue to work hard and choose the school he wants to play for next year. There are lots of examples of so called undersized football players who people said couldn't make it. Doug Flutie is almost a midget. Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas is about 5-11 max. There are lots of examples. I really believe if Will wants to be great at a big time program, the only thing that will keep him from accomplishing that goal is not believing in himself. I hope that doesn't happen.

You here that UNCLEBUC, don't let that happen!

i see will on a daily basis and can safely say that if there was one word to describe him, it would be exceptional. he is an exceptional athelete, student, family member, and friend. will will succeed in life, not based on his athletic ability, which is top notch, but based on his character. he is deserving of a board like this. not because of his need for an ego booster, but he is a role model for so many yound students at boyd, as well as around the chattanooga area. to be honest, i don't know that much about football, but i do know something about what it takes to be a champion. will is a champion. not just in football, but in life. if you read this will, best of luck in the future. last friday taught you a life-lesson. learn from it and you'll be a champion. also... DID YOU FIND IT???

Will's dad, Rob Healy, was a star tailback at Ga. Tech back in the early 70's. As I recall, he led them to a Liberty Bowl victory his senior year. His grandfather, Bill Healy, was an All- American guard at Ga. Tech and considered to be one of the school's all time best at that position. Will's uncle Chip, despite heavy pressure from Tech at the time, did not follow his father and played at Vanderbilt where he was an All-American linebacker his senior season. So there is a connection there that might cause Tech to overlook his size and take a chance on Will based on what are obviously some good genes. Rob was maybe one of the two or three best high school athletes to come out of the Chattanooga area in the late 60's and a truly nice guy in his own right.

Will is one of the greatest individuals off the playing field one will ever meet. He is smart, modest, polite, and truly fun to be around. I know this board is used for talking about sports and athletic ability, but I just want to make clear what some overlook in Will Healy. I can guarantee that wherever his future takes him he will carry his genuine good nature and selflessness with him. Good luck with the recruiting process Will and may God continue to bless you and your family

I went to the CPA-BB game last Fiday as I am a proud CPA parent whose son plays for CPA. I was so impressed with Will Healy's abilities and heart during the game. What was really interesting was that as I watched my son on CPA and Will on BB, I found out that Will's dad is Rob and his uncle is Chip, both of whom I played against in high school. I was a player at Castle Heights Military Academy and they played at Baylor (along with John Hannah - now in Pro Football Hall of Fame). It hardly seems 30+ years since I played against the Healys, but Friday brought back some great memories.

Congratulations, BB and Will Healy. It was a game that was almost a shame that it had to have a loser.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
