Hadmatter
They’re building something special there. They have 4 Varsity games scheduled & 5 JV. They are trying for a 5th Varsity game. Beat them now because they will be good in the future. They are building a football field there I think but the rich pricks of Farragut won’t let them get lights so they are possibly looking at property to build a stadium & field with lights

Will they be in a private school, Division 2 region?

It looks like most of the teams there have already made their schedules, unfortunately. I don’t know if they were just late to the party or if no one really wanted to play them. I’m sure they’re going to find another out-of-state team. I don’t know if it’s possible, but last year their varsity team took on Bearden’s junior varsity team, and it counted as a varsity game for them. I wonder if they would do something like that. Also, they have a pretty solid team for what it is. They got a lot of additions during the off-season. I mean it’s a young team, but they still have a few seniors. Co are on attempt 101 to restart football. I wish all 3 the best of luck Edited August 5, 2024 by Hadmatter

From what I gather, they are only playing a JV schedule this season and next year a full D-II East class A schedule. I was told that they are investing a lot financially into the football program at Concord.

There has been a lot of money sitting for a while, ready to be used for the athletic department. It’s a very cramped campus with not a lot of space, the majority of space is parking. However, I’m sure they could somehow create a turf football field for the soccer team to play on, and maybe build a baseball and softball field where the old soccer field was. But I don’t know. I’m sure they’ll figure something out if they have to purchase more space.

Farragut does not like them & the nearby residents do not want them playing football at night at Concord so they are looking to purchase land elsewhere for their football stadium

If they do buy land elsewhere, that will be interesting. I wonder how far it will be from the campus. Eventually, they moved the school off the church grounds, which I know the school is expanding every year, so eventually they’re going to have to do something.
