Ridiculous - 4 team districts

Teams getting to go to regions no matter what.  Southside is ahead 51-2 at the half against a team that I believe won 1 game.   Time to at least have to win the consolation game to advance and give 1 seeds a bye.  Second round matchups should then be set so that a 1 seed doesn’t play a team from their district unless both their teams win and then it should be the 3 seed

why does all 4 divisions have to have the same number of teams. Time to divide by number of students and stop lining up the numbers and dividing by 4

It’s either that or send all 4 teams to different areas and let all 1 seeds host and eliminate substate with the 16 winners playing to see who goes to state.  No same district teams can play each other until semifinals or finals

If all 4 teams advance from one district. Bracket should be reseeded.

Just curious. How do you know they tanked. I’m not a fan of them or anyone from that district. Truly just curious bc I’ve heard of teams doing this

Miss a layup, take a bad shot, make a extra pass, don't contest shots. All kinds of things.

But Hey We're Better Than You. Free Pass.

Time to go to 8 Regions and do away with Districts and get true seedings.

NO! TSSAA would laugh right in your face. That is fair but TSSAA isn't into Fairness. Nope because Brentwood Academy lawsuit. We all have to suffer. TSSAA likes making money.

Didn’t the Lady Bees do that versus Tullahoma tonight?  Missed lay-ups, shot 40 percent from the free throw line, over ten turnovers and still won by double digits.  Difference is Stone Memorial capitalized on those mistakes.

Teams tank in district consolation games a lot to avoid best team in their district until the finals where they can lose and play again.  Until they make the consolation game meaningful or reseed after the first round of regional it will continue

    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
