If Cleveland has cleaned up their penalties which I believe they have, this one could get ugly. Farragut will play hard but Cleveland just has too much fire power.

I say Cleveland 49  Farragut 14

the discipline issues haven’t been fixed which worries me going into tougher games

If they are still having discipline issues, then it will more than likely continue for the rest of the season. Clinton went through the same thing and theirs lasted all season long. Its like having a bad habit or playing with poor technique. If the coaching staff doesn't make discipline a priority at practice, then it will keep rolling over into the games.

I hope Cleveland can get it straightened out because they have the talent to make it deep into the playoffs, but if they are not disciplined, they won't make it far on just talent alone.

Good luck to you guys!

That is the biggest issue I see year in and year out. Too many stupid mistakes and penalties. I get just as upset at Bradley's players for that as I do anyone else. That stuff costs you ball games.

Cleveland is dying for the next Benny Monroe, but one thing about Benny's teams. He kept a good lid on the penalties and to run that offense the way they did, they had to have some discipline.

Not dying for the next Benny Monroe because we know that’s not gonna happen. But we are looking for a coach to make us a solid program year in and year out. With the talent that we have every year, that can be done. Is Tygard that guy? Who knows but I like the way he has started. He’s done a lot in a short time from the youth all the way up making the program more exciting to the high school. He knows what attracts talent. Discipline has been an issue and he knows that. Now with that being said, his style sometimes comes with some discipline issues because I think he might let the kids get a little too much excited. He’s gotta figure out how to do it with excitement and control it.

Is he a pretty outgoing coach, as far as going overboard with celebrations, etc? Not saying he is, but I have noticed that teams usually tend to take on the persona of their HC. Lowe at Powell has always kinda gone overboard (imo) on the sidelines and his teams always seem to be undisciplined, too, it seems. Not accusing Tygard of that by any means, (I honestly know zero about the guy), it’s just something I have noticed throughout the years. A coaches personality seems to rub off on the players. It can be good in a way, because you expect kids to have fun, but you have to keep it tempered, as you know. If Powell could get disciplined they could be scary good, but Lowe teams have always been super undisciplined, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. They are what they are at this point.
