Nope it wasn't any of those situations...............

Having been going to the games for well over 20 yrs I have seen and heard lots of things. Ive never heard anyone one the Maryville side say or be profane. I have however watched several TSSAA officials cheat the heck out of kids playing a game. I have watched the skin of " Staff " become extremely thin over the years and I have watched "staff" treat fans and students with uncalled for disrespect. I torpedoed many of their BS policies with the law. (No not a lawyer just knowledgeable about my rights). First thing is ...policy doesnt supersede the LAW!  I have educated many parents to these things such as not sign parent /student handbooks as those are contracts and signing them is not a very good idea.  Some of their draconian "cell phone policies" have been neutered by a simple letter to the admin with the appropriate UCC section along with  a signature.  MCS is a municipally funded system and the taxpayers own it.  They forget these things when they are drunken with imagined power. Yelling at a football game is not a violation of any law. Summoning someone especially a grown man who knows the law and is not afraid of it is a very stupid thing to do.  I wont name the ones that have tried it with me over the years but they know who they are and what the outcomes were.  Things change and leadership changes and the replacements of the old guard are imo weak and subservient butt kissers for the most part. They would do well to remember where their $$$ comes from and be more respectful of those that they SERVE.  But hey I may just have to get me one of those yellow shirts as they seem to have magical powers.

GO REBELS!

I tried to get one of those glow in the dark shirts, but I was told they didn’t come in 3X. Lol
No doubt that intimidation of teenagers doesn’t apply very well to adults. You and I both have had three boys go through, so we have seen it. Evidently it still works on some though. IMO the thin skin is just a sign of insecurity. Respecting and listening to your supporters might be more productive. Teachers shouldn't ignore parents, why should coaches or administrators think it is ok?

From my perspective special teams weren't very special.

I think the punt by 21 was very special. While KO’s didn’t make it too end zone, we did get a gift with WB starting on their 1.  The others we had good coverage.  The 2 onside kicks were outstanding kicks by WB. Coaches and players weren’t prepared and something they need to work on.

If that unhappy with the coaching, don’t come to game. You are in the minority. Fans don’t yell at the band director during the half time show if they don’t like the songs or formations,

Grow up, move on and enjoy the Rebels playoff run for an 18th golf ball.

So just shut up and clap ? I remember a time when a fan could question a coaching staff’s decisions… you even said coaches and players were not prepared for the onside kicks… so no one besides you can question the coaches? I’m seeing things at Maryville that I haven’t seen in many years and excuse me for not just clapping and following blindly… like a lot of other fans on here I’ve got blood and sweat involved in Maryville High School football… I was a member of 2 State Championship teams so forgive me for not taking your advice  of not daring to voice my opinion. Having high expectations from everyone associated with Maryville football is why Maryville has the legacy it does , I’ve been to many other high schools that have a few parents in the stands and that’s it . Maryville has the support they do because fans who actually played at Maryville 50 years ago still follow the team . I don’t want Maryville to become a team that has the parents and a few others there who just sit there and politely clap no matter what happens on the field.

Just my two cents, I've been upset at a lot of things WB coaches have done over the years but I've never yelled at coaches during a game. To me that would be completely counterproductive and would just be bad optics all around. I don't see any sense in it, especially if it was a game you were winning and there was never a moment where you were in danger of losing

I totally agree with you but he wasn't actually yelling at the coaches to make them mad but to make them aware there was nobody deep and all WB had to do was kick it over their heads and it's a free ball and with only the endzone ahead. Things went from trying to be helpful to a big misunderstanding.  Once it started the Deacons from Woke Methodist Church entered the stands to take over the situation only to make it worse. Last week our country went to the polls in numbers because they have had enough of this anti-common sense "WOKE" bullcrap. This crap festers in all of our public schools to a point a lot of parents home school their kids or send them to private schools to protect their children from being indoctrinated into this cult. Two weeks ago the great 'Woke Princess" told the kids they were not allowed to wear all black for the Alcoa game because it would be considered racist although Maryville's uniforms are mostly black. Can you wrap your head around that one, that's how bad things have gotten at Maryville.
