Well, the Govman is 0 for 1 on his prediction that W.B. would win both games this week. They just never could get anything going against Bearden tonight.

I'm sure Coach Baumann will do whatever's necessary to get them back on track before Friday night. They'll have to play much better to have a chance against Maryville.

If there was one positive ... Dustin Rose shot the three-ball as well as I've seen him shoot it in a while. Still looking forward to coming to the "Jimmy C House" on Friday night. I might show up in a William Blount wrestling uniform and a cape and mask. Then again, I might not. People might not be able to handle me in spandex.

I might show up as the Hamburgler, but its only if I can get the costume...just cause it'd be funny, right?! Yea...I think that I've given away my secret identity now..oh no! Sorry to hear that WB lost, but I guess everyone has those games. Maryville won tonight 100-56, everyone played great, couldn't get some easy shots to fall, but it didn't matter. Any other ideas to get the crowd pumped? Its really weird to me that during football players almost every basketball player is at the game, but during basketball season you only see maybe 5 percent of the football players at basketball games. Then the crazy people at the football games are at home during basketball season, or they are at the basketball games and they aren't loud and crazy, so why at football and not basketball? Football is a bit more successful, yes, but basketball isn't exactly a pushover, so why not come to the basketball games? Maybe the pep-rally on Friday will help!? I think there will be a lot of people there, and I think they will be loud, because its William Blount, but I dunno, we'll see how crazy we can be...without getting in trouble...again!

Maryville looked impressive as usual tonight when they put a 100 spot on the board against sevier county, everybody played well, watch out WB, Maryville by atleast 15 and Lee has a big night as he almost always does in big games. He will never underestimate WB like he did last year again, I call 27 from him Friday Night and they win big.

    • Actually that young kid was in an offense that loved to throw the ball I believe.    Biggest problem for MC is if the coaching staff can figure out which mouths to feed at the appropriate time.
    • Have you ever been in education (administration) or a head coach? You’re responsible for all aspects of your program. If you were not checking the kids information correctly and left it up to someone else and they mess up. You’re held liable because it’s a failure on supervision, implementation of TSSAA eligibility and your school’s eligibility. Remember the wording in the article for him “CONTRACT NOT RENEWED” coaches are on a year to year contract and don’t sign the contract again until July. Do I believe he still should’ve been let go? Yes because you’re responsible for the total program and should be aware of everything going on. Do I believe he knew about the grade changes? No and that’s because nobody brought his name up until things got really bad and there is no indication with any paperwork showing he did. It’s just word of mouth from a teacher trying to cover herself.
    • TSSAA won't ever issue a death penalty, worst case scenario would be a post-season penalty that makes Clinton ineligible for the playoffs for a year or two (I believe 3 years is the most I have ever seen).  But TSSAA only does that in extremely rare circumstances.
    • I just want to echo that sentiment. Coach Woodmore is a good man and he is going to do things the right way and expect these kids to do things the right way. He will help grow them into fine young men. The wins will follow. I think Bolivar hit a home run.
