I watched the news and some guy in the crowd (20 years old, former student)accidentally shot himself in the leg during the last minute of the game - the game was cancelled and the guy was taken to the hospital ... he will face charges.

On the news it said he was a student who was susended. He had the gun on his side and when he stood up it fell and went off and shot him in the leg. He was carried to Vanderbilt. That's the last I heard.

that is stupid that was real stupid I guess thats why he is 20 and still in high school, that is so dumb, no kids will probably have to be searched up and down just for a basketball game.

A senior student from Pearl-Cohn who was attending the P.C. and Hillsboro game shot himself in the thigh. It was reported in the Tennessean that he had a 9mm in his wasteband and it dropped in his pants. As he adjusted to get it out the gun went off. Nobody else was harmed in this incident. Everyone fled the gym and trainers from both teams rushed to the student to give medical aid. 2 metro police officers where at the game and handled the situation before others arrived.

This is probably the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time...I'm glad nobody else was injured but it serves the guy right shooting himself in the leg. What kind of a punk thug carries a gun to high school basketball game?...I hope they lock him up for while...stupid kid.
