Brandon100, you are the biggest idiot on coacht. I play for Blackman and I really don't like Riverdale either because they are our rival, but I will defend them because you are way out of line. You are so jealous of Riverdale because all you ever do on here is gripe and complain and put down Riverdale. Who gives a crap whether you play a team out of state or not? The only thing that matters is who comes out on top after the season is over. One difference between Riverdale and MBA or BA is that Riverdale doesn't give scholarships or pay students just to play ball there. Riverdale just takes what kids they get, and with FREAT coaching, turns them into CHAMPIONS. Another thing, Riverdale is located in Murfreesboro along with Blackman and Oakland. We are not one of those rich cities full of stuck up snobs like brentwood is (not all people, I know there are a lot of good people in Brentwood). We are just "plain folk" down here. Murfreesboro is the home to utility workers, school teachers, and all kinds of other people who do tremendous amounts of physical labor and who work hard every day just to make a living. If it wasn't for us, all the rich snobs wouldn't be able to sit indoors behind their desks all day with their suits and ties and htting on their secretaries. Not so rich towns with just plain people like us are the backbone of Tennessee, heck of all America. Hey, when was the last time that BA or MBA played De La Salle or Matre Dei? In case if you don't know, Rivedlale scrimmages MBA just about every year and do you know the team that most always wins, the WARRIORS. One more thing, you need to just shut up and get off of coacht because you are making yourself look like the biggest fool there is. I am definetly giving you a BAD mark for your post.

itzme, you obviously didn't pay any attention to my screen name. It is bhsOL, not rhsOL. As a matter of fact, Rivedale is my school's (Blackman) rival. I just take up for Riverdale because I have a lot of respect for the program and for Coach Rankin and I have some really good friends that play there. I'm not saying that BA wasn't a good team in 1995, they were because they won state, but they paid people scholarships just to play there, so they can choose all the good players they want. Now as for you comment about playing Franklin County again, the only reason that we played them is because of they way the playoff bracket was set up, not because we wanted to.

Even if that were true, all I'm asking is for you to get with Coach Rankin, and beg him to play BA or MBA so that you guys can prove how much better you are. Is that asking so much?

Folks, it's simple. Riverdale, a "local powerhouse" as another thread has said, is scared. There is no way that Rankin will ever schedule someone outside the region who he is not sure he will beat.

 

MBA and BA will surely never happen.

BHSol, your best thing would be to not curse on this board, because that is not what we are about. It will get you thrown off the board. Who ever said on here that Riverdale was better? What is your point?

 

As to Riverdale being scared, that is an idiotic statement. It may apply to those responsible for making the schedule, or then again it may not. But I know for a fact that the players at Riverdale are not scared - but they can only play the teams on the schedule. The coach ain't Riverdale - the team is. And scared they are not.

 

But again I ask, so what? If they win state, what else do they have to do? MBA and BA can't compete at that high national level either, so what exactly is the point of all this?

Riverdale, the kids at Riverdale are not scared. They have nothing to do with making the schedules. It is the powers that be, ie. Rankin, the Riverdale principal, etc. It may mess up their records, and that is why they don't schedule anything but easy teams, other than an occasional Franklin Co, Lincoln Co contender.

 

I can assure you , he doesn't call MBA or BA for a game when he has an open date. MBA and BA already have tough schedules, so of course, they don't call Riverdale. I can assure you though, they would schedule them up in a heartbeat. Riverdale is nothing compared to a Trinity, St. X, etc.

Why would BA or MBA schedule Riverdale if they are "nothing"? That is the opposite of what you claim a team has to do to be great.
