Way to Go Indians........You stayed tough and pulled it through......The others are not being unreasonable when they downed the Refs......the calls were pretty even in the first half ... but the second half seemed to be a concerted effort to help out the Hill......and I don't make that accusation lightly.....

Way to go Indians......You all played a gutsy game....You are all (everyone of you on the team) my hero...

And an extra special hug to JWooo44 (Sweet Pea).....You are my heart and I love you.....

Keep up the hard work and the keep playing with heart and we shall see if that Final in the Boro is an "all Memphis Final".......

Why do I have any right to be embarassed (I'm guessing that the certain 2/3 was referring to me). I said that D-B would beat Science Hill, and I'm gald that it happened. And being from East Hawkins County, I also hope that y'all crush Cherokee whenever you play them. But I still don't like D-B.

I didn't post anything because I came home from college (best friend is getting married Saturday afternoon). We all went out bowling (in Kingsport of all places). Ya know, I happen to like Warriors Lanes, but anyways...I'm not saying "good luck", I'm just saying "beat Cherokee". I do agree with the post that a lot of DB's good athletes have come from Church Hill though. I'm glad someone from D-B's past could admit to that. Just beat Cherokee.

Take a little rest Indians....you deserve it after last night, then get back at it at full speed ahead.....

Come out and support the Indians Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 or 3:30? (I know not as many fans CAN show up at this time of day---I may be one of those who can't) but I'll be keeping track on the radio if I can't make it and you all know I am there in spirit if I can't be there in the flesh.........

I predict the Indians will play the starters most of the first half and then let them rest up for the next opponent and put the reserves in to finish the game off. Stay focused Indians and show 'em what you can do!

Hey Fly, I think they have all tucked their tails and ran!

Ya know, it's pretty bad when you're supposed to have the home court advantage and the other teams' fans come out in bigger numbers and put yours to shame! Hats off to Kpt fans!

Where's Hawkins County...that is one of DB's prime recruiting grounds for coaches and players don't mess that up for us..somebody needs to step back and take a look!

But I regress..Roll tribe..all the way to Murfreesboro!

We have the coach, talent, and support to take it all the way!

I'm right here. I'm in Kingsport right now actually. About 4 blocks from D-B high school. I welcome all of you onto the Volunteer thread, it is a public forum. I have not "tucked my tail and ran". You seriously don't know where Hawkins County is?

I'm not in a bashing mood tonight (or whatever type of mood y'all call it when I state that I don't like D-:D. I went to a wedding this afternoon, so I'm in a pretty good mood right now. So for this post I'll just pray that D-B kicks the living snot out of Cherokee, then I'll go from there.

But if it comes down to it, I would rather D-B win state than some team from West or Central TN. If your team can't win it (the AAA title I am talking about), then your neighbors might as well have some fun. D-B has the best shot for Region 1-AAA, so can I pull for the team that I am against?

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
