Stay focused Indians -- that's all you need to do......the rest will come naturally for you. It will be a wonderful day to beat the 'Toppers in front of a packed crowd at Freedom Hall--(bet the 'Toppers are wishing they played there more so they could feel like they have the home court advantage!).....I know the Indians will feel right at home!

Ring it up Tribe!! Charge it on the Topper's Account!!

Chop Chop and Chop the Topp!!

1 thing Art. You may be right on with the score, but if the Indians do PLAY a good game, it will not be that close. So, Indians play good, and they have been playing really good in the District Tournament, I go with DB 68 SH 54. But, I will take a 1pt win any day, that will be just fine with me.

I know the DB Players are pumped, they are FOCUSED for sure.

Wear 'em out Azmar, Jarrod, Thomas, Hawk, Seth, Lamon, Jeff, Joey, Ryan, Phillip, Reed, Jamie, and the rest of the Indians too.

TN High will take 3rd place over SS.

See ya'll Injins in JC

Can't Stop The Chop

No lie, I did graduate law school. Did you or are you being a smart aleck? By the way you are the one that brought the subject up. You might ought to watch how you try to put people down.

As I said I know how you feel about keeping the thread private. The problem, as I pointed out, is that you are in a public forum. We, the Volunteer supporters, have just had to put up with a lot of trash from some folks from Elizabethton and we have never put them down on the "Volunteer Falcons" thread. I also do not think that one builds one's self up by tearing someone else down. I only had a point to make. It was not my intention to degrade D-B at all. I have wanted to reply to the cyclone person but I thought that was your place.

First off, I have friends at D-B, so whatever you were thinking it's ok...you don't have to say it, unless you just want to.

What makes D-B the greatest? Is it their character, heavens no! The dirty truth is the D-B parents (not the players). The D-B parents are the reason that I have a beef. It stems from the Pepsi Invitational baseball tournament last year that was played at D-B. Anyone familiar with Volunteer will know who are special biggest fan is, and my family took them in during baseball season last year. It just upset me that parents (grown adults) could make such a comment and say such things about another human being like that. That's my beef, it's just grown since then, that's all. But if you want anger all of Hawkins County by talking more smack go on ahead...

We don't buy our athletes, we play hard to get what we have. We don't go outside of our zone to bring in athletes. But we do take those that you let go, because they belonged to us in the first place. Maybe some of you have heard of this website before http://www.kingsport.org/default.asp it's for you of Kingsport faithful. This is what you are all about. It's not just the school, it's the city. It's much bigger D-B, there is a world beyond the praises of the Kingsport Times-News. Get past high school, and then we'll talk...

pete.....noone on this string knows what you are talking about.....there are no basketball players that play baseball so the basketball parents are not the ones you are talking about.....did you get the wrong board this is the boys basketball board not baseball....I am a DB basketball parent and have never seen or heard other basketball parents say anything negative about other teams fans or players....

yes, sorry...I guess I posted my basketball post on the baseball forum...well it's late so I'll correct that later.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Honest mistake as I was speaking out on both forums. Sorry to the basketball parents, I have to admit that the D-B basketball parents do behave themselves...

A challenge to all Indian fans to come out to Freedom Hall tonight and help drown out the voice of the 'Topper fans. When Indian fans stick together, nobody can top 'em!

What a great day to become the District Champions!

Hey Prickley Pete, How much $$$ do you think it would take to get Chuckie to come to DB next year?? Get lost Falcon fans. Worrry about your own basketball team, they need the help from the looks of the way their season is going. Ours is doing fine, thank you very much.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
