Craig Cobb pitched a complete game, six hit shutout. :)

Clint Lensgraf hit a 400' HR, Tony Delmonico had a 2B and two singles, Harrison Eldridge had a 2B and a single.

Farragut scored 2 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th for the 6-0 final score and moves the Admirals to 48-1 on the year. They are led by "Total Team Effort"

That's all I wanted to get, SoupKitchen should enjoy the moment.

Congratulations to all. :o:o

Thanks Vol for the update, you were very timely, Coach Pharr's wife answered the phone and said everyone was going crazy. She couldn't believe that I heard so quickly You posted right as the last pitch was being thrown. Coach Pharr is a class act and he should be commended for his efforts. He will be the first one to tell you though that he had a great group of players. Congratulations to the Admirals on one of the best baseball seasons that has ever been played in Tennessee. They deserve a lot of credit, I don't care in what league you are, 48-1 is unbelievable!

Congratulations Farragut! You guys have earned this and all the hard work has paid off. 48-1 is unbelievable. Jimmy, Steven, Michael, Parker, and Craig- I have enjoyed watching you throughout this season and knowing you guys. You all finally got that coveted ring. Once again, congratulations to Farragut, it couldn't have happened to a group of better kids.

Congratulations to Farragut for a sensational season! Our boys from Bolton were one of the VERY FEW teams to get close to a win against the Admirals (11-10 in 8 innings) in Tullahoma in March. What impressed me was the solid hitting consistency from the top to the bottom of their lineup. Having played against the competitive Memphis-area teams during the season, Farragut was by far the best hitting club seen all year. 48-1 is unbelievable...anywhere!

Just another note to a much-deserving team -- Munford Cougars. Bolton and Munford compete in the same district, then played a 2-1 regional title game won by Munford on a walk-off home run by Zach Lowery in the bottom of the 7th. We are just as proud of their boys as their school, parents and fans! They flew in to the tournament "under the radar" and were content to play SOLID BASEBALL when all the attention was being given to the Houston Mustangs. They are to be applauded and commended for a wonderful run in the tournament! This Bolton parent is extremely proud of the effort and fight shown by our "hometown district" boys -- the Munford Cougars!

MktgAdMan,

District 14 has some fine talent and your comments would be well received by the Admiral fans.

Their 1-9 was the best group of hitters that I also saw all year, it also might be noted that the pitchers these players faced in the State Tournament were all quality pitchers, Stuart Pomeranz (Houston HS), Ben Meador, Ben Bostic and Brandon McClurg (Hendersonville HS) and of course Clint Arthur (Munford HS) who was the pitcher that kept last years fine Germantown team out of the state tournament.

They are getting the recondition they truly deserve.

Yes, now that Farragut has won the state title and all we will look at a little classier over here at Germantown. Even though they didn't have their good pitcher in or anything, Farragut's loss to Germantown was our only true saving grace this entire season. What a sham. Well, heavens to betsy Farragut y'all had one heck of a season and deserve great kudos for setting the state record on wins (48). However, although y'all were fantastic, I'm just glad we put that lone 'L' on your schedule; otherwise, Germantown wouldn't be the only team from Tennessee to have claimed an undefeated National Championship title (38-0 1995.....the good days). Well, however ya look at it..........GO ADMIRALS! (atleast you kept the Houston Mustangs at bay and from a title....yay).

Just back from the beach. This is my first opportunity to congratulate Farragut on finally getting the ring. It's been a pleasure watching you guys play this year, even if it was at the expense of my favorite team.

Heard Craig Cobb on the radio today as we were driving in. Glad to hear that he's going to take his game to the next level.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
