Best Runnin Back in Tha State

All of those guys sound good but i would take Brentwoods jared fugate over anybody. it takes two or three guys to take him down, and is the probably the smartest running back out there. also, he is a natural leader, and helps lead brentwood.

I would have to say first, "I give all my glory to the O-Line that blocks for these backs" But in my opinion the best two running backs in the State are

 

Albert Harris of Austin East and Cassen Jackson of Knoxville Central. My sleeper would be Hooty Henderson at Knox West.

I would have to say #28, Josh Gregory, of Lincoln COunty has to be at or near the top of the the list. After 3 games, he has 517 yards rushing. That may not sound like a lot to some people, but you have to look at the 3 defenses he has faced: Franklin, Blackman, and Riverdale. Good job Josh, keep up the good work!!!

LCstatman, I have to agree with you. I haven't seen all your games, but I have noticed the competition you've been playing. For Gregory to gain that kind of yardage against that kind of competition speaks volumes for him....and the offensive line he is running behind. Will Franklin County slow him down?

CHS 4 Life...I know its still to early to compare, but how does Nunley stack up against Chris Elam? 2 different offenses so the comparison may not be too easy to do.

I saw Elam play and I never thaught that any back would be better, but Nunley is as good. He is smaller than Chris but runs lower to the ground and that makes it hard to get a shot at him. He runs so small that sometimes you can not find him in a pile of players and then he'll just pop out and break tackels and run 70 yards and this kid is like Chris he has an extra gear.

Please Mike Davenport is the best back in 4-4A football. He had 6 TD's against Ooltewah High and has 11 on the season in 4 games. He is 6'1'' 225 and is fast. He has about 700 yards also.

Mario Davis from Marshall County has to be the best back in the state. While he hasn't racked up a 200 yard game yet he leads the team in rushing and recieving. It also takes 4 or5 defenders to bring down this 175 pound back.
