OK, please coacht lock this post. I mean, come on, it's bad enough to have grown men on here talking about high school football, but middle school? If you don't have a son that plays, please, by all means, don't post about your alma mater's pee wee feeder program. I mean this is just too much. Sports are already blown way out of proportion in this country, but scouting reports on seventh graders? Come on guys, talk up some college or NFL.

Is there any kind of post-season set up for middle school football? I played for BA in 2000 and 2001 in middle school and we never lost a game but never had any kind of post season action, anybody know?

In an 9 county area in East and Middle Tennessee (Anderson, Roane, Campbell, Union, Scott, Knox, and Morgan in the East and Putnam & White in the Middle) make up a large and small division called the TMSAA.

 

In the large divsion (10 schools), you have the following:

East

Anderson County Middle Mavericks--Anderson

Clinton Hawks--Anderson

Jacksboro Eagles--Campbell

Horace-Maynard Red Devils--Union

LaFollette Owls--Campbell

 

West

Cherokee--Roane

Robertsville--Anderson

Avery Trace--Putnam

White County--White

Jefferson--Anderson

 

The top 3 teams in each division advance to the play-offs:

E2 vs. W3

W2 vs E3

E1 vs. winner of W2 and E3

W1 vs. winner of E2 and W3

 

Right now Anderson County is undefeated and Clinton, Cherokee, and Avery Trace have one loss each!!

Jellico--Campbell

Huntsville--Scott

Fairview--Scott

Burchfield--Scott

 

West

Rockwood--Roane

Rockwood has a great middle school team. I coach middle school football and I have heard that Jacksboro, Rockwood, Maryville, and Rogersville are all very tough

Personally, I'd love to see Warren Co. Middle take on Livingston Acad. in a bowl game. Let's let all this talk get settled on the FIELD, where it belongs.

And, even more personally, let me thank Warren Co. Middle for giving me some fun nights on the Nunley Stadium sidelines. Win the rest of them, or finish 8-3, it's already been a wild ride.
