Lincoln County vs. Cookeville

The Lincoln County Falcons make their longest trip of the regular season this Friday when they travel to Cookeville to take on the Cavaliers. This should be a HUGE game in determining Region 3-5A. What are your thoughts on this game? Who will take it, and why?

I'd have to go with Lincoln County. The margin depends on how long Coach Thompson keeps his horses in the game.

 

Tough thing is, Lincoln County's defense can score too. All these turnovers other teams are having are happening for a reason.

Whoa now. Give CHS credit where credit is due. they have been playing good football also. Maybe not as good as last season, but considerably well under the circumstances. I don't think is will be a huge blowout or a shutout. Cookeville will score and might just surprise the Falcons. Don't look past the Cavs, we are good at surprising the other teams.

I predicted a close game with Blackman, Franklin County, and Oakland. I'm becoming a believer. Cookeville may surprise the Falcons and keep it close...or they may even upset Lincoln County.

 

For the time being however, I am from Missouri....you gotta SHOW me.

if cookeville can get going early, and maybe get some MO on there side, it could be a close one. It seems that they always fall behind in the first quarter(except vs. Warren co.) and there is no way they will be able to pull off a come from behind win against the falcons

I'm sounding like a broken record, but I gotta say that the Falcons will take this one IF they hang on to the ball, keep the penalties to a minimum, and stay focussed. They have to take it one game at a time.

I'm sure Cookeville will be studying Oakland's film to see how the Patriots held Gregory to under 100 yards rushing. They may be onto something. Now, if they can do that and get to Edmiston, they could make it interesting.
