Is MBA the best team in state?

there's no way to compare the MBA's, the BA's the BGA's who have chosen to go D2 because

they recruit and give financial "aid". Let's give credit to the schools and coaches that play

with the kids that "get off that yellow bus"

Some of you guys are absolutely missing the point of this topic.

"Is MBA the best team in the state" has nothing to do with the

private vs. public debate. The question is whether Dickon County,

Lincoln County, Riverdale, Maryville, etc. could win against

MBA/BA/CBHS. My guess is that any of these games would be

very competitive but that the top tier D2-AAA schools would prevail more

often than not.

 

Continuing to whine about the public v. private issue is meaningless.

The recruiting nonsense had been debated ad nauseum. Unless you

have proof of illegal activities, quit disparaging the private programs.

Move on.

Well MBA is still one of the best teams in the state but Brentwood Academy pulled out the win Friday night and I was watching that game on t.v. It was a hard fought game right down to the end but MBA came up with the loss. So does that loss change the minds of most people about MBA being #1 in the state?

Absolutely not.

 

While I still think MBA is the best team in the state, there can certainly be some debate amongst MBA, BA, and CBHS. Those three are a cut above everybody else.

I agree.... even though MBA, BA, and CBHS have had great matchups all year, I don't think any of them have prepared anyone for what's to come in the Clinic Bowl or the second round game between BA & CBHS. Those promise to be some of the best Tennessee football ever.... I can't wait. But as for the best, I'll have to take a Clinic Bowl game between BA and MBA with MBA pulling it out (anyone from BA that wants to prove me wrong, please do so!! )

The title of this thread is, "Is MBA the best team in the state?"

The answer is, "NO!" Not this year, but it'll never be decided on the football field.

 

They are probably the best private school team. That is what the question should have been. Other than that is pure conjecture. Give them their due...give the public schools their due.

Ok, I will give the top public schools their due...OK, done. MBA is still the top football team in the state- public OR private.

How do you think Catholic would match up against some of the D II 3a teams I mean could they keep it respectable against an MBA or CBHS? MBA beat BGA i believe it was 24 10 is that score really reflective of a good game or did MBA let up?

Don't limit them to the best public or private school. No doubt, they are the best team on any level...including the Titans.

 

And nationwide, no high school could beat MBA...most junior colleges would fall to the BIG RED also. They are the best ever!

MBA showed that they were a very talented team on Friday and all of this year. But the best team in the state usually wouldnt lose a big game.
