Miguel Barnes is from Millington and is the last of the Barnes family to come through the ranks. His two oldest brothers both played football in the late 80's at Millington and then earned track scholarships at the University of Memphis. Another brother, Marlon, was a standout 10 years ago. He went to the University of Colorado and then was drafted by the Chicago Bears. He was on the Bears, Dolphins and Raiders during the time he was in the NFL. His other brother, Marcus, is at ETSU now. He played football and ran track but with ETSU dropping football, he will just concentrate on track.

Miguel is averaging almost 10 yds a carry for Millington and is showing the same explosiveness that Marlon had when he was here. He's about 5'10-5'11 and 175 which is 20 pounds heavier than he was last year. He has improved a great bit since last year and if he continues at the same rate, will be one of the best in the state of Tennessee his senior year.

Chris Wooden of DCA is one of the most impressive players in high school football in the state of TN. And he is only a junior. He has 1068 yards rusing in 8 games AND HE HAS ONLY PLAYED IN 3 FULL GAMES. He doesn't even play the second half of most games. A major credit to the offensive line. This young man will be playing on saturday's if he chooses to.
