Rockwood vs. Happy Valley

like I said ...,

the time for Rockwood to put up or shut up has come and gone, now its time to shut up. Right now, you need to take care of business in Happy Valley, then let the trash talk between OS fans and Rockwood fans begin for round 2. i wouldn't start on the woman there prejudice boy. She probably knows just as much or more about the game of football than you do. Anyway, like I said, don't count your chickens just yet. you still have to beat a tough HV team on the road. So good luck, and hopefully we'll see you in round 2( Pending we beat South Green.)

Zeno, extremeloco, Last time I checked this is a free country with freedom of speech and the fact that I'm a female doesn't matter either.

They've put in too much this season to give it up now, plus they have that vengance on their side. That drive to want to get back at Oliver Springs. So they're not only playing for one game but for two. To win this one and let Region 1 know that they are for real. And to get back at a dirty team, needing to be knocked off.

This comment by Zeno 11/3 @ 11:24 am pulled OS into this thread extremeloco, I will defend them until the end !!!!!! GO BOBOCATS !!!!!

OS will have no trouble with SG, on the other hand Rockwood has their hands full with Happy Valley. I like Sonny Moore,s ratings, probably the best ratings out there, Happy Valley is a one point favorite. The team who makes the least costly mistakes is the winner. Last year I picked a sweep, this year is a different story, region 1 could get a couple of wins in the first rounds.

Other than possibly G-P, Rockwood is definitely the best team that Happy Valley has played this year. The Warriors have put up some good numbers, but Rockwood's defense will be the best they've played. Last year, Rockwood gave them just seven points in two games and most of that unit will be there Friday.

Happy Valley, however, is a better team than last year. From what I've heard, they don't make a lot of mistakes and make teams pay when they make mistakes. That sounds a lot like Rockwood. Rockwood is 4-0 this year in games decided by less than a TD and they have given up 2 scores or less in their eight wins.

I think it will be a close, low-scoring game in which field position will determine the winner. I like Rockwood in the end, however, because they know how to win the close games.

Oliver Springs who....Right now the only team that Rockwood is concerned with is Happy Valley. There is no one else. There is no other game in the state of Tennessee that is more important. Happy Valley is favored everywhere. The Elizabethton Star has Happy Valley 18 and Rockwood 6. Coacht has Happy Valley favored. The fact we all know is that both teams have a lot to prove. No one respects either team. We will see if the Tigers can earn some respect Friday.

Well I didn't say it wasn't a free Country I just know the game is between Rockwood and Happy Valley, I just don't want Rockwood paying any attention to OS at the moment, if they do then there is no chance of a Second round. And it was ... that siad the sexist comments, I highly disagree with what he said and I personally think they should be taking of CoachT. He does not speak for everyone.

    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
    • I’m not taking shots at the kid, but “athlete” is not something I would use to describe him. He was a long, lengthy, defensive back
