Your ingorance is embarrassing. Stick to what you know, and you obviously know nothing about MBA. You couldn't name one player recruited to play at MBA in the past 10 years.

YOUR ignorance is pretty embarrasing. Why are they playing in the D2? BECAUSE THEY GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS. THEY RECRUIT.

Still didn't name one, did you??!!

Regardless, they were still the best team in TN this year, by a mile.

well i'd put my falcons up against anyone in state.... but we'd all do that.

honestly, maybe im missing someting here, but i dont think that your Class (5a,4a,3a) should have anything to do with how well you perform. thats based on school population. people think its a big deal when a team from a lower class beats one from a higher, theyre better.... we killed powell in a scrimmage and for some reason some of my friends thought that was a big deal. o well.

I won't pretend to know anything about DII private schools, but how do they get such great atheletes without giving athletic scholarships? I'm sure that all their atheletes aren't academically talented enough to get academic scholarships. I'd also say that some of their atheletes are not financially capable of going to a private school either.

THEY ARE JUST STUPID. DAVID LIPSCOMB IS A PRIVATE SCHOOL AND THEY DON'T PLAY IN D2. D2 SCHOOLS GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SEPERATED. PLEASE SHUT UP ITZME AND BIGBLAH YOU ARE EMBARRASING YOURSELF BIGTIME.

MBA does not give scholarships, nor do they recruit. MBA does give need based financial aid, which is determined by an independent agency out of New Jersey. Basically, MBA determines who is qualified to attend school based on a test, which I believe is called the ISEE test, an interview, the application, and grades. Then, any of the students who are accepted are free to apply for the aid. Their applications are sent to NJ, and the recipients are selected. MBA has no decision in who gets financial aid and who doesn't. As for recruiting, I'd love you to name just one recruited player. Most of the boys at MBA have brothers, fathers, or other relatives who went there. Fisher's dad went there. Pettus' brothers went there. I think Haury's dad went there. Koban's sister went to Harpeth Hall. Santi's sisters went to BA. Again, if you know of a recruited player, I encourage you to notify the TSSAA as soon as possible, because it is also illegal to recruit in Division II.

By the way, you might want to take the advice you are giving out in your signature.

Also, I forgot about Melrose when I made my original post. Based on what I saw against Hillsboro, I'd put them 9th above Mo west and Hunitngdon

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
