TheEgoHasLanded
Same goes for Tyner in 2A. They have Demonte Bolden who committed to UT...and their other defensive tackle might be even better...he sure plays harder. Both made all state. TyFry
Then why should just the 1A open zoned schools be split? Milan is open zoned and they compete in 2A just as well as any private school does in 1A. Same goes for Maryville in 4A. It's fine with me to split all open zone schools. I am in a rural area that only gets kids who happen to live here. It doesn't matter if we have a great team. There are no other schools for a kid to transfer from. We have to play with whatever walks through our doors. We don't recruit whether it be officially or unofficially. Our fans can't recruit because there is no one to recruit. How do we compete with schools who can draw athletes from 1-2 hours away?

I believe I predicted that the witch hunt wouldn't stop with privates. Some people laughed. Posts like this will get more common. The entitlement attitude (we are entitiled to compete) and the blame everyone else attitude (it's not our fault we can't win...it's your fault) are like the flu...put one person in a room infected with them and half the room comes down with them. In the future we may have 40 State champs...5 sizes in each of 8 divisions (small rural public, large rural public, open zoned, magnet, small metro, large metro, non-aid private, aid private). pujo
Baldcoach, if you have'nt noticed,we already have a division with only 10 to15 competitive teams in it. When you look at the state champions in all sports over the last several years, you will see this private ,that private and another private. You have several public schools in the division, but they are just stepping stones to get to some private school. Even when a public school wins a championship, the next best five will be privates. I didn't realize pujo could tell the future. Please tell me my Cowboys are going to win on Saturday, and if possible a point spread would be helpful...thank you

TheEgoHasLanded
One and done for the cowboys...sound familiar pujo? Sorry I had to. No hard feelings. Both of our teams have had their share of successes, and failures.
pujo
At least the Cowboys did more than expected, we let one get away from us that we will never get over. The Cowboys will probably rebound much quicker than we will.
