Q: What do wolves and cowards have in common?

A: They travel in packs!

The so called Kingston Krazies showed tonight that their school and Community has no control or class when it comes to high school athletics. After Anderson County beat them by 13 on their home floor, they started to chant "In the parking lot" to the dozen or so (including girls), AC students that had made the trip. They then exited quickly (in their safe little pack), and waited for the AC students on the hill by the parking lot. When the AC students walked by the Kingston punks ran their mouths, and then jumped onto the AC students knocking them to the ground and started punching. What a bunch of heros. The Kingston school system should be so proud! The police then showed up threatening to start hauling people to jail, and the AC students were allowed to get to their cars and return home. My 17 year old daughter was in the group, and I had fortunately already left. If I had been around I'm afraid I would be in jail right now for assult. I will see tomorrow what steps can be taken to address this ridiculous display of civil disobedience.

In the Kingston gym next to the american flag is a sign which talks about their Codes of Conduct or sportsmanship or something, that is the biggest joke ever! Take that sign down until you get your animals under control.

Sounds like they should team up with Lenoir City's students, LC did the same thing last year on several occasions and couple of this years.

For Kingston fans, that says alot for your character. It is hard to lose with class, and doing this truly makes you classless. Im sure somebody from the Kingston fans will get onhere making lies about what didnt happen, but we all know what Kingston people are like thats why they always live in Kingston their whole like, cause nobody else likes them..

I was out there and and saw what happend. One of yall's kid who had been running his mouth the whole game called out one of ours. Ours hit him and threw him on the ground. Then another one of your's jumped on our kid. Thats what brought everyone into it. It was a fair fight until your other kid had to jump in. Our students did no wrong tonight. They didn't run their mouths to your students until yours started talking about Mommas and stuff.

rCPAtriot im sorry but your comment is out of order. You talk about Fair Fight and not doing anything wrong. There should have been no fight in the first place, and both sides, if both fought, were wrong. Kingston should be to blame for the most part if they whole student section called everyone out. They all should be banned from the rest of the season...just my thought. I don't care if all you Kingston fans come on here and bash me for it. I have defended most of you the last couple years, but it has stopped tonight. You guys better clean up the act and make Roane County look better.

Sounds like the tournament will need extra security which will in turn cost each district school money.

I'm not going to comment on what happened because I don't know. I will say that kids often don't back down in situations like that and it's up to parents, school administration or the police to keep things under control.

Hopefully, no one was hurt tonight and the kids involved will learn from it. Maybe not today, but someday.

    • Wouldn't the easiest move be to move McCall up to HS Principal and have Gulley take over as MS Principal?
    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
    • Freedom Prep has discontinued their football program. These are the teams that were on their schedule in case you are looking for a game:
