I'm going to have to go with Bennie Marroon. We raced the other day and he beat me pretty bad. I was impressed. I'm not sure if he runs track or not, but I he should. I won every event on field day back in the 7th grade, so he's UNSTOPPABLE. So you might just want to add Bennie Marroon to your list.

Well guys, I just found out that Bennie isn't running track for anyone right now. But never count out Bennie Marroon. I'd say it's a safe bet to say we'll see him in Memphis.

donald edwards is the best all around athlete from lavergne he runs a 10.4 100 and lower than 21.9 in the 200 because he just broke the school record of 21.9 but im not sure what the exact time is also his 4x100 team ran 43.3 and he is a standout football player who has suffered many hamstring and quad injuries over the past 2 years

I agree with you on the 1500 part but not necessarily the pole vault. In order to obtain a lot of points in the pole vault, you must be able to vault around 12' or higher. There are few decathletes who are outstanding at the pole vault, and even when there are, they are usually weak in other events. Not always, just usually. You are however correct on the 1500. I have seen many decathlons won and lost in this final event. I was not implying that he was a sure winner, just that he would be in the running.

I understand that completely and you are right. Lamar is a force, but if he cannot vault and run the 1500, it won't be easy for him.

I agree about the pole vault Kenwood. I think vaulting anything above 10 feet is really tough. But 10 feet only scores you like mid 300's in points. I just think the decathalon is the jumper's realm. I discovered that in my dec. last week. If you can jump and hurdel, you are in good shape for good points. I, unfortunately for the decathalon, am a thrower and a sprinter. Jumping is not as easy for me.

I agree with Itzme, Chris Buck will give Bingham a run for his money in the decathalon. I am surprised that his name has not been mentioned by anyone else. He is one of the best vaulter's in the state clearing 15'0 this year, and he can jump he is also one of the fastest guys on BA's team and was on the 4x2 this past weekend that set a new school record. Watch out for Chris Buck
