The Wilson Cental Mt.Juliet Rivalry is pretty intense.

I think that White House and P-town (portland) have one of the bigger rivalrys in middle TN, but Greenbrier is acting like they wanna get in on some of this action as well.

Ooltewah - Central... now that Central has made a team out of themselves its a real rivalry...the fans are what make this one great... The refs of Ooltewah are original, and the purple puds of central do what htey can... adn then there is centrals inferiority complex towards the owls whether its rich kids/poor kids. or just the hatred of Ooltewahs supposed "arrogance". wither way it definitely makes for an interesting game and certainly great internet fodder

"Now that Central has made a team out of themselves..."? I'm not a Chattanooga Central fan, I know they have been down for a while. Considering they have 6 Tennessee State Champions Trophies to Ooltewah's Zero I'd say that "arrogance" sounds a little more than supposed.

OH MY GOD...no one mentioned Milan vs. Humboldt the oldest rivalry in Tennessee or Milan vs. Huntingdon. those 2 games are HUGE!!!

The first 3 are easy picks. The last 3 are all pretty big ones too. A rivalry is based on things like "hatred" and tradition, not how well 2 teams happen to be playing over a span of 4 or 5 years. As you can tell, I'm from Knoxville. Best HS rivalry I've seen? Canton McKinley - Massillon Washington in northeastern Ohio! That game really is an unbelievable site! These 2 teams aren't as dominate as once before, but both teams are among the top 10 schools in the nation for all-time high school football wins.

Jo Byrns-White House Heritage They actually came over to White House Heritage and vandalized one of our signs. Since WH Heritage is a new school it's not a huge, burning rivalry, but it is pretty big.

Lebanon/Cookeville was a heated rivalry back in the day.
