BigSneaky
Ken Netherland is the best coach ever. But BigSneaky, I thought he got 300 before leaving G-town. 825321146 I thought so too..but these were the only numbers I could track down on the internet. gtowngrad04
Ken Netherland did reach 300 before leaving Germantown...his 300th came in 2001 against Cordova in the playoffs....i'd imagine he is almost to 320 by now...because he had the entire 2002 season at Germantown with 13 wins, plus he won 1 more in the 2001 season.... wiseguy
I'm guessing that you guys think the best coach is the guy with the most wins, right?
Dumbpost99
The best high school coach ever i have to say is PHIL WILKS of Powell. Spent some years at Maryville College and stepped up to Powell High. Where he isnt even a head coach.
alcoabaseball22
Coach Butch Toner was at Loretto a few years back. He retired in Alabama before coming to Loretto. He was one of the best! YA HEARD!

Sienfield
The best high school coach ever i have to say is PHIL WILKS of Powell. Spent some years at Maryville College and stepped up to Powell High. Where he isnt even a head coach. 825325698 Phil Wilks of Powell is an excellent coach. He is definitely a positive role model for kids and definitely knows and can teach the game of football. Has he ever been associated with a winning program though? Winning games does not always define a "good" coach however. Again I say that Phil Wilks of Powell is top notch. Can anyone tell me his history as far as wins and losses. Also how about Larry Stephens at Powell. He is great with the players but what is his history. Both Stephens and Wilks have been at the high school and college level for a lot of years. Both know the game but someone out there tell us how they did at each school.
76STATECHAMP
Mike Collier at Rockwood High School in 1974, 1976-78. Hands down one of the best to ever coach in east Tennessee before he became sick with MS.
Dumbpost99
I was being sarcastic about Phil Wilks. He had maybe one winning season at Maryville College and that was 7-3. Other than that he had many 1-9 2-8 and 0-10's. He went from college to assistant high school coach.
