Maybe if you were as dedicated as McMinn County's CC team, then you would run that much. Coach Smith is too honorable of a man to get on this thread and lie about what his team has done. I think he has earned some respect wouldn't ya say?

I really appreciate that. I actually thought about not posting, but I thought I might as well get things started. It's not like that is the biggest week some of our runners have run. I really didn't think it was THAT big of a deal, but maybe some people give more significance to a certain number. What's more impressive was the AT and FT runs being much more easily accomplished than I thought we were ready for.

Anyway, I guess not many people want to share their mileage. It's pretty common on letsrun.

Coaster, if you're going into college, you really ought to think about bumping that total up. Unsolicited advice, I know, but there it is anyway.

i see them running all over the place. michael billingsley i think that's how u spell it is an amazing runner. a human gazelle. but even the freshman can run very well. but my favorite thing is the EIGHTH grader that runs with them often. Sugi as most call him. this kid is mcminn cross country future.

Just don't get injured- training hard is great, but you want to be able to race when it comes crunch time. Quality runs...................................Quality runs!

P.S. Thanx Coach Smith for letting another "runner" tag along at a few of your pracitices. Very nice sportsmanship! thumb

Yea, we have two guys running 100 miles. They have gradually worked up to it during the years. Thanks, for the support everybody but I'm sure there is a good amount of teams that are as dedicted as we are. In no way does the number of miles you run measure your amount of dedication to your team and the sport. Mileage is just not the way for some ppl including me. I have averaged about 45-50 miles this summer due to some past injuries and it looks like I may be getting a few less the next couple of weeks because of the little incident I had yesturday. I smashed my car into a tree trying to dodge a swerving driver and my back is really feeling it.. ;) .
